Perhaps “on orange level alert” could suggest that we are over-reacting, which I deny. I wonder what the writer meant– “bombarded by sexism,” “exposed to extra doses of misogyny,” or “lacking a sense of humor and taking things too personally”? (NOT the last one, I hope!)
